My MFA Thesis exhibition, As for me and my house, explores an obscure domestic realm. Paper pulp, glazed ceramics, paintings and sculptures take the form of a tiffany lamp, a mischievous six-pack of Lone Star beer, a fountain of mysterious yellow liquid, and a lavender claw-foot tub who bleeds out of her faucet. These anthropomorphized forms allow me to examine the intersection of queerness, femininity and the grotesque, as well as my own identity. This exploration is ongoing, fragments of narrative and daydreams told through this community of objects.
